Floated Share Buttons: Why it's important to specify your homepage URL

In some cases, a website may have a different URL for the homepage. For example: if your website's domain is mywebsite.com, your site's homepage URL can be mywebsite.com/blog.

Specifying the correct homepage URL will ensure that enabling or disabling the Floated Share Buttons when creating a display rule will correctly change the settings.

To edit the homepage URL, you must already have a website added to your dashboard.

  1. After logging into Shareaholic, select a Site Profile from the My Sites dropdown menu at the top of the page.
  2. Click the Settings link on the lefthand side of the page.

  3. By default, the Domain and Homepage are listed as the same URL. If the homepage is the same as the domain, then no changes need to be made.

  4. If the homepage URL is different from the domain, edit the Homepage field.
