Floated Share Buttons: Why it's important to specify your homepage URL

In some cases, a website may have a different URL for the homepage. For example: if your website's domain is mywebsite.com, your site's homepage URL can be mywebsite.com/blog.

Specifying the correct homepage URL will ensure that enabling or disabling the Floated Share Buttons when creating a display rule will correctly change the settings.

To edit the homepage URL, you must already have a website added to your dashboard.

  • After logging into Shareaholic, select your site from the My Sites dropdown menu at the top of the page.
  • Click the Settings link on the lefthand side of the page.

  • By default, the Domain and Homepage are listed as the same URL. If the homepage is the same as the domain, then no changes need to be made.

  • If the homepage URL is different from the domain, edit the Homepage field.
