With UTM campaign tracking enabled, you will be able to see how much traffic you receive from social sharing. Set your own UTM tracking parameters to match them to your marketing campaigns.

Available Variables:

  • ${service_name} - Shareaholic will automatically replace the variable with the service name ex. Whatsapp

  • ${service_type} - Shareaholic will automatically replace the variable with the service type that corresponds to the service ex. mobile. Possible values include bookmark, blog, tumblelog, email, socialnetwork, news, mobile, im, forum, tool, urlshortener. You won't need to do a thing.

Don't worry, you can update these settings at any time. Learn more about UTM campaign tracking here and here.

If you're using the latest version of Google Analytics, you can take advantage of Google's new Social Interaction Analytics.  Social Interaction Analytics allows you to measure the number of times users click on social buttons. Just enter your Google Analytics Property ID, and you're ready to go:

Would be helpful if you actually told us how to navigate to the screen in #1. Where do I enable UTM tracking?
